The Yellow

This is probably the simplest design in the collection.

And perhaps one of the strongest.

One huge, beautifully saturated yellow radiant-cut diamond. Two substantial white trapezoid diamonds. Nothing else.

I put yellow gold immediately around the centre because it makes that yellow sing, then let the white diamonds and platinum cool everything down either side.

It’s confident jewellery. It doesn’t need explaining when it’s on your hand.

The gemstone shown here doesn’t exist in my safe and the ring hasn’t been made.

But this is exactly the sort of piece I’d love to create with a client — starting with finding their extraordinary yellow diamond.
